Simpson, Westaway, and Abidi played Rage Towards the Equipment's track "Killing in the Title" on loop, and agreed to go to a gig a couple of days afterwards. Once the exhibit, they went back again to Simpson's flat and began executing on guitars and also a v-drum package, which led to their initial song getting penned, titled "Far too much Punch".
